BEST PLACES TO SAVE MONEY ON FALL ITEMS THIS FALL

Picture this. You have a great day by the pool with your sunglasses, sunblock and possibly a fruity drink in hand at the end of August. Then you go to sleep and wake up the next morning to that crisp fall morning air.

What’s your first thought!? Pumpkins, fire pits and warm tones; oh my!

Decorating for fall doesn’t have to be overwhelming or put a damper on your bank account.

Soooooo the real question is… how do you decorate for fall using the everyday colors of your home without buying fancy schmancy decor pieces.

My answer: Shop in store.

Target, Walmart, Trader Joe’s & even Aldi are awesome places to start!

Let’s start with Target.
Be honest, when you walk in Target you always need to stop at the dollar section, right? Yeah, I feel you!

So what types of items should I look for in the dollar section? For me, I tend to grab the basics and the filler items. When decorating for fall I love incorporating both small and large pumpkins, a candle and some sort of greenery or fall leaves.

The more variety, the better!

My recommendation is to grab basic colors. Don’t always gravitate toward the everyday orange pumpkins since they make so many different colors these days. I love whites, golds and beiges to match the rest of my home decor. This gives it that little bit of fall vibes without making it negatively stand out.

You’re probably wondering why I added Trader Joe’s into the mix.
I was shocked about this one myself but they had such great options for outdoor pumpkins AND they had mums which shocked me even more!

I did price comparisons between Trader Joe’s and Home Depot and surprisingly Trader Joe’s had cheaper prices.

When shopping for outdoor fall porch decor, think about the style you’re going for. Since my front porch gives off a french countryside vibe, I wanted to go with white mums and white pumpkins with hints of orange.

My overall rule is follow the color of your house. Brick or dark siding? Go with darker colored mums with orange pumpkins and hints of white.

Also, don’t forget to grab multiple different size pumpkins and use an upside down crate (or a stand to your liking) that will have your mums stand on different levels. This will make it easier to decorate with both without making it look overpowering.

Aldi is a great place where you can find literally anything.
I have grabbed candles, pumpkin candy dishes, cinnamon brooms, and fall doormats for super cheap on my weekly grocery trips. Plus, they are all great quality!

One thing I’ve learned from an early age is that you don’t need to buy expensive things to get quality items. Fall decor is only out for a couple of months so why break the bank for such a short time.

Happy decorating!
